About publication

Full length manuscripts
Authors of accepted abstracts are strongly encouraged to submit a full length manuscript. Accepted full length papers will be published in a special volume of Elsevier’s journal  Surface and Coatings Technology . A copy of this special issue will be made available to the participants at the beginning of the conference. Acceptance of full papers will be based on peer reviews according to the regular standards of the journal.

Full length manuscripts should be submitted no later than March 2nd, 2007, through the Elsevier Editorial System (EES). No other way of paper submission will be accepted. See the  instructions for full paper submission on this website.

Please note: Our contract with Elsevier includes the strict requirement that each paper included in the special issue of “Surface and Coatings Technology” should indeed be presented – either as an oral or poster contribution - at the conference by one of the authors. To ensure that this requirement is met, we require that the presenting author of each paper has registered to the conference no later than May 15, 2007, and that the registration fee has been paid by that same date. When this requirement is not fulfilled, your paper can not be included in the special issue.

Extended abstracts
Authors of accepted abstracts who did not submit an accepted full length paper to the special EuroCVD16 issue of "Surface and Coatings technology", should submit an extended (2-3 pages) abstract. Extended abstracts will be included in the "EuroCVD-16 Book of Extended Abstracts", which will be made available in print to all conference participants. Extended abstracts will not be reviewed. The deadline for submission of an extended abstract is July 20.
